ESA RN 35 “Sociology of Migration” – Midterm Conference 1-2 September 2016, Bucharest
30 Aug 2016Under the head "Facing a New "Age of Migration"? Methodological Challenges, Conceptual Questions, Political Entanglements", the third Midterm Conference of the Research Network 35 "Sociology of Migration" of the European Sociological Association will be held this year in Bucharest (1-2 September). The main theme of the Conference is to reflect on the question of whether or not European countries are currently facing a “new” age of migration and on the methodological and conceptual challenges posed to migration research within the current developments. The 49 papers to be presented in 7 sessions will bring to Bucharest scholars from all over the Europe. Bridget Anderson (COMPAS, University of Oxford, UK) and Michael Collyer (University of Sussex, UK) will share their insights on the current migration status as guest keynote speakers.
